Designed for easy addition and change-over of modules, Fuji Machine America's DLFn modular machining system accepts raw materials for turning, measuring, drilling, deburring, cleaning and other operations, producing finished parts. According to the company, the system’s internal work-handling units accommodate fully automatic line configurations, and switching operations is as efficient as pulling out one module and replacing it with another. Two machine modules can be set on one standardized base module for flexible processing. The pull-out design also eases access during maintenance. As many as 10 modules can be combined to form a maximum 14' 9" (4.5-m) production line. Featuring improved takt time, the machine has a work load/unload time of 5.8 sec. The machine modules, conveyance units and peripherals are operated using Fuji Machine’s Unicorn controller.
