For inspecting more than one internal or external thread, New Vista has developed an automated multi-spindle thread verification module. The all-electric unit, which includes a servomotor, servodrive and motion programming, can check a quantity of threads as quick as a second. Extending torque is adjustable up to 12 inch-pounds. Retracting torque is 40 inch-pounds to ensure the gage won't stick in threads. It will verify thread sizes from 3 mm to 50 mm.
By powering a gage probe or ring into and back our of a part, mechanical thread verification mimics the certainty of hand gaging, while marrying it with the speed of high-volume production. Go, No Go and Go-No Go combination gaging, as well as thread depth gaging, are all possible.
