Mazak's Quick Turn Nexus-100MS with multitasking capabilities has spindle power on the advanced integral spindle/motor that is 40 percent higher (15 hp, 6,000 rpm) on the main turning spindle (6" chuck) for high-precision metal removal and high speed cutting of aluminum and other nonferrous materials. The second spindle has a 5" chuck size, 15-hp output and a 6,000-rpm maximum spindle speed. The additional milling spindle has a 5-hp output and 4,500-rpm maximum speed (6,000 rpm optional). Rotary tools and turning tools can be mounted at any position of the 12-station drum turret, and quick-change toolholders can be loaded or unloaded with a turn of a wrench.

Production capabilities are greatly expanded with the Nexus-100MS. A workpiece can be transferred between the first and second headstock to complete machining operations. The workpiece can also be automatically oriented in phase for smooth, continuous operation. An optional bar feeder is also available.
