Hurco's TMX series of multitasking lathes are designed to increase travels, speed up acceleration and deceleration rates, and increase horsepower. The TMX8MY lathe has a bonus Y axis and motorized tooling, and the TMX8MYS lathe has a subspindle, Y axis and motorized live tooling. The TMX series' radial turret offers more options, programmable tailstock and plug and play options for lights-out operations. The TMM8 and the TMM10 lathes with live tooling include a C-axis standard, and it programs to 0.001 of a degree. Any station can be a live tool and a fast servo turret is used instead of a hydraulic turret to increase productivity, the company says. With one setup, the TMM is designed to save time and eliminate inaccuracy that occurs with refixturing.
