Part Washers Maximize Cleaning

In the past, many Mart part washers were built for tall components. However, for shorter loads, such as parts in fixtures or baskets, the work height was too tall. In the past, many Mart part washers were built for tall components. However, for shorter loads, such as parts in fixtures or baskets, the work height was too tall. Cleaning solution blasting from the vertical manifold above the shorter wash load hit the opposite side of the cabinet, wasting energy. Recognizing the problem, the company developed the SHIM (short high impact manifold) for part washers with tall work heights to effectively wash short work loads.

The SHIM is a second manifold welded to the primary manifold system with a swing down arm and a valve. The vertical section of the SHIM has the same number of nozzles as the full length PBM. The vertical nozzles are packed closely together and have a tighter spray pattern. This design increases impact pressure by 60 percent for fast and thorough parts washing. The SHIM is especially useful when stripping carbon, scale and loose paint from baskets of parts and short wash loads.
