The Jenfab oscillating basket washer is a front loading spray washer with a 3' x 5' footprint designed as a cellular work station for lean manufacturing. This machine removes machining oils, lubricants and chips from machining operations with a 60-second cycle time.

To use the washer, the operator places the machine parts onto the carrier and starts the cycle. The carrier moves into the spray cabinet and the clear door closes. The spray wash begins and the carrier moves back and forth through the sprays for the entire cleaning process. Sprays are located above and below the parts to thoroughly clean all ID and OD surfaces. Chips are collected in removable strainer baskets to keep the solution tank clean. Filters can be added as required to meet higher milligram/millipore cleaning specifications. After washing is complete, a blow-off system removes the excess water, the door opens and the carrier returns the parts to the load station.

According to the company, the system saves energy as a result of the back-and-forth parts movement directly under the spray jets. Fewer spray jets are required, the amount of spray is reduced and less electricity is required. Parts automatically load and unload without operator intervention. Final fresh water and DI rinse tanks, filtration, disc, belt or coalescing oil removal systems are optional.
