Prab presents an easy-to-install, fully automated chip processing system. Chip processing systems engineered by Prab provide material handling for small to large volumes from centralized machining centers. Each chip processing system is customized to provide the specific level of processing needed given the material type, scrap configuration and volume of liquid separation. Each system is designed to quickly reduce metal turning volume and handles bushy, nested wads; produce 98-percent dry chips with the centrifuge/wringer; increase the value of metal chips and recycle and reuse fluids; recycle wet metal chips and turnings and reclaim cutting fluids; and be self-contained within a small footprint.

A reversible diagonal shaft wringer affords increased efficiency and low maintenance, according to the company. The screw conveyor meter feeds system to prevent binding and clogging. The discharge screw conveyor elevates dry chips into a bin or Gaylord box, includes a 50-gallon fluid recovery tank, and comes complete with user-friendly PLC controls with touchscreen operator interface.
