ShadowGage accurately measures multiple features on the contour of small precision parts, such as diameters, lengths and grooves, and automatically separates the acceptable parts from the rejects.

Single camera systems can measure either the profile or top view of parts, and two camera systems measure both the profile and top view simultaneously.

The machines are capable of making measurements with an accuracy of ± 0.0001” at a rate of up to 7,200 parts/hour.

ShadowGage sorters offer flexibility for a variety of parts without the need for tooling, as well as simple and user friendly setup and operation, the company says. Parts can be loaded onto ShadowGage manually or from a vibratory feeder, without regard to orientation, as the software determines the part’s orientation and performs the appropriate measurements.
