The presetter reduces tool change times and production costs, while measuring, setting and verifying all tools before placement in an application. Key features of the presetter include single-hand operation for linear axis movement, a 20 × magnification camera system with in-screen measurement optics and a toolholding fixture with a power-operated clamping function, a spindle brake and indexing capability at 90-degree increments, with concentricity of 0.002 mm or 0.00008".

The presetter touts a 12" industrial flatscreen color monitor with 35 × magnifications and display accuracy of 0.005 mm and measuring accuracy of ±0.01 mm. The unit also features a rugged membrane keyboard for power-operating the clamping function, including tool clamping, separate linear axis clamping for X and Z directions, a spindle brake and indexing. The unit is also designed wiht a center height camera, which allows the operator to inspect and test the center height of a tool. Third axis inspection and tool measuring can be accomplished using the center height camera.
