Processing volumes of less than 1,000 lbs of scrap metal is now efficient, cost-effective and profitable with PRAB’s E-Series chip processing system, the company says. Completely skid mounted on a 4 ft. × 10 ft. frame, the chip system contains all of the necessary equipment for effectively processing chips for recycling. The system produces 98-percent dry chips with the centrifuge/wringer; it is self-contained and forklift portable; a reversible diagonal shaft wringer affords increased efficiency and low maintenance; a screw conveyor meter feeds the system to prevent binding and clogging; a discharge screw conveyor elevates dry chips for disposal; it includes a 50-gallon fluid recovery tank; and is complete with PLC controls with touchscreen HMI. The system occupies a 4 ft. × 10 ft. area.
