Rotary Transfer Machine Combines Turning And Machining
The Transturn machine provides a design that combines the turning capability of a screw machine with multi-side machining advantages of a transfer machine. Unlike fixed collet or chuck machines, the workpiece holding collets or chucks on the machine can rotate at 6,000 rpm. Each of the six- or 12-station positions offer two-axis upper and lower slides accommodating either static or driven tools.
