The Wenzel Smart Series of CMMs is specifically designed and developed to solve shopfloor CMM implementation issues related to the measurement of small and medium size manufactured parts.
The Smart Mini has a small footprint and a measuring range of 300 mm × 450 mm × 400 mm. It uses fine-grain native-black granite producing thermal stability with natural vibration dampening. It has precision linear guideways that are protected and covered, carbon fiber scale mounts and a carbon fiber Z-axis design. When the Smart CMMs are configured with OpenDMIS software they can be used for first article inspection or as a dedicated shopfloor gage. With this software Xecute Interface that allows programming offline, relatively unskilled operators can be quickly trained to operate the machine.
