IBAG North America’s short and fast 22-mm diameter Micro Line high speed milling and drilling spindle for Swiss turning applications has a 63.3-mm length. The Model HT 25 S 60 is especially useful for compact tool zones in Swiss-type machines. In addition, maximum spindle speeds of 120,000 using oil type external cooling are now available for this spindle model. With synchronous DC motor technology, these spindles are useful machining applications involving micro-milling and drilling tools, as well as engraving and fine milling. These compact spindles feature high rigidity and ultra precision (less than 2-microns runout) to enhance surface quality and machining accuracy, and they reduce the need for secondary operations, the company says.
