The Quick Load Servo 65 (QLS 65) from LNS America, Inc. loads 1/4" to 2 5/8" diameter short bars as long as 51". Useful for standard applications, the bar feed has many of the same capabilities as the Quick Load Servo S3, including precise servomotor-driven bar positioning.

Operators can perform start-ups and change-overs by entering the new bar diameter, bar profile and workpiece length via a control keypad. The machine then performs these adjustments automatically. When a pusher change-over is necessary, the Easy Click system expedites the process, says the company.

A Soft Touch bar positioning system uses servomotor control technology to virtually eliminate turret crashes. In addition, the machine requires 15 percent less floor space than earlier models. An adjustable loading ramp acts as a housing for arranging the spindle liners, with the option of either length-wise or sideways remnant retraction.
