Hybrid Systems’ Mark II shrink-fit induction heating device is the second generation model of the company’s shrink-fit technology. The updated model offers a smaller footprint that is better suited for benchtop operation. Weighing 40 lbs, the device has an air-cooled induction coil, an electric fan for tool cooling and a user-friendly operator interface, the company says. The heating device can service a range of toolholders with its patented, universal toolholder. For example, BT taper (BT30 through BT50), CAT V-flange taper C30 through C60 and HSK taper H63. Tools serviced for the above holders are ¼" in diameter to 1" in diameter. A different version of the air-cooled device is available for tools with diameters larger than 1".
