Seco-Carboloy announces its flat shank feature on its Crownloc drills. The ISO 9766 flat and shoulder provide maximum bending stability, as well as a a flange that allows for easier setup, ensuring the same length even when changing the drill body, the company says.
Crownloc's design uses an indexable carbide crown with two effective cutting edges to provide a range of hole-making operations, from 0.472" to 0.791" hole diameters up to 7× diameter. A single drill body can accommodate a number of inserts in incremental sizes and different geometries for various materials. The system offers easy insert indexing, even right on the machine, high repeatability and the economy of minimized inventory.
