OTT-Jakob manufactures special rotary unions for a variety of operations and offers three standard types: GDR-LC, GDR and GD. The rotary unions fit into unclamp units and also work with the clamping system. The unions are designed for the company's drawbars found in machine tools with a high-speed spindle and in which the machine tool feeds coolant through a single passage to the tool. The unions also can conduct air for line clean-out and part dust-off.

The parameters of the type GDR union have been improved. The maximum spindle speed now is 24,000 rpm (formerly 16,00 rpm), and the maximum coolant pressure is 80 bar  instead of 50 bar. As with the type GDR-LC and type GD, the minimum volume lubrication pmax is five bar, the cleaning air maximum is ten bar and the pressure air maximum is 5 bar.

The new GDP, a small rotary union designed to fit small unclamp units, has a maximum spindle speed of 75,000 rpm and a coolant pressure of 80 bar. It features a hybrid bearing, balanced designed for high speed rotation and a closed sealing surface. The minimum volume lubrication pmax is five bar.
