The DZ Series of gauging probes from Solartron Metrology was developed specifically to meet customer demand for very compact gaging probes for limited space applications.
The 23.5-mm and 27.5-mm probes provide a 1-mm and 2-mm measuring range. Extended sensor life and reliability were important factors in developing these probes, according to the company. The series of probes are offered only in a digital version. The new gages also complement the company's existing lines of ultra small, ultra short and mini probes as well as its proprietary Orbit network interface.
The probes' transducer is sealed using a Viton boot to exclude dust and moisture and achieve IP65 requirements. Tips with an M2 thread are available for various applications and can be replaced in the field without returning them to the factory.
