DiamondMine automation software, which is designed exclusively for Mitsubishi Laser by Ncell Automation, is said to increase overall efficiency by giving shop owners real-time production feedback on their stand-alone lasers.

The software standard provides snapshots of operations and processes in real-time so owners and shop floor operators can monitor and adjust machine performance and proactively remove non-value-added processes. On-screen overview charts include cut times, estimated times and online/non-cutting times.

Charts provide segmented, color-coded information for quick and easy visual reference, the company says. Operators get feedback on a job’s performance, including errors and their relative downtime. The task scheduler provides a visual reference for operator shifts, which helps ensure that operators are stationed appropriately for maximized production. According to the company, the software gives owners the decision-making tools that allow them to run a stand-alone laser as if it were automated.
