Iscar is expanding its Chatterfree solid carbide four-flute end mill line with the addition of smaller (0.125,” 0.157”, 0.188”) and larger (1.00”) diameters.
The solid carbide end mills are used for roughing and finishing operations. Because of their variable pitch, they feature excellent chatter dampening ability, according to the company. These end mills are an excellent solution for low power machines with ISO40, BT40 or CAT40 adaptations, improving their material removal rate and eliminating vibration, the company says.
They can be used for full slot machining of as much as 2×D with solid carbide end mills. These end mills maximize stock removal rate and reduce cycle time in most milling operations. Their ground geometry is designed to provide excellent surface finish and long tool life, while machining at high material removal rates.
