The solid carbide Sphinx micro drills, with extended range from 1 mm (0.039") to 2 mm (0.078"), have a tolerance range of ±0.004 mm. They feature a reinforced shank and are now offered for diameters from 0.05 mm (0.002") to 2 mm (0.078") in a standard length of 25 mm (0.984"). From 1 mm to 2 mm, the line offers precise diameter steps in increments of 0.01 mm.
In many applications, it is possible to use the carbide micro drills as reamers. The company offers high speed steel micro drills only for diameters from 0.05 mm to 0.10 mm, and they can be used for most applications.
