Spring-Loaded Position Sensors

Macro Sensors' line of 24-V DC-operated spring-loaded LVDT position sensors are designed for a variety of position measurement and dimensional gaging applications. The GHSE/GHSER 750 Series LVDT position sensors operate from 24-V DC, delivering an output of 0 to 10-V DC over the full sensing range. Now the units can be powered directly from a PLC power supply.

Constructed of stainless steel, the sensors are ready-to-use, hermetically sealed 3/4" sensors. For added protection against harsh industrial environments, coil windings are sealed against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68. Electrical termination of GHSE and GHSER configurations use MIL spec sealed connectors. The GHSER units have radially-mounted connectors that shorten the installed length of DC LVDTs for use in locations with space restrictions. A detachable mating connector, supplied with every unit, permits repair or replacement of damaged or several cables without the need to replace the entire LVDT.

Flexible Gage Software Integrates with CNC Machine Tools

EMO 2017: Renishaw will exhibit its software for the Equator flexible gauge, which allows users to fully integrate the system with CNC machine tools, its contact scanning system for CNC machine tools, its on-machine and mobile apps which are designed to simplify the use of machine tool probing, an enhanced non-contact tool setter for machining centers, a multi-probe optical interface system, a surface finish probe for coordinate measuring machines, and software that enhances the functionality of Renishaw’s XM-60 multi-axis calibration system.
