The company will exhibit the DECO 2000 13 mm Swiss-type, single-spindle turning machine. This member of the 2000 family is configured for machining parts up to 13 mm diameters (16 mm with bar end preparation). Like all 2000s, the 13-mm model combines the advantages of cam-controlled and CNC machines through the use of TB-DECO software. The advanced engineering design of the 13 mm has resulted in improved accessibility with a larger work area entry. By mounting three of the back-working tools used for cross drilling, milling and turning on an independent slide, turning and drilling are accomplished simultaneously. All cross drilling/milling/turning tools can be driven or stationary. For greater setup flexibility, three tools on either the front or rear platen can be driven. The DECO 13 mm also features 32-bit processing for faster, more dynamic processing, which is enhanced with TB-DECO programming software. Key specifications include a 180-mm part length per chucking, main and sub-spindle speeds up to 12,000 rpm, maximum spindle power of 3.7 kW, and 12 axes (with the two optional C-axes). The DECO 13mm accommodates up to 14 tools for main spindle machining and up to six back work operations.
