Engineering Geometry Systems announces the addition of synchronized turning for production machining. The new four-axis functionality is integrated into FeatureCAM’s existing turning programs. Combined with FeatureCAM’s new machine simulation, synchronized turning provides production machinists full program control and cycle-time reduction. It supports synchronization, follow turning and pinch turning.
Machines with dual spindles and up to four turrets can be programmed. In addition, the machine simulation allows programmers to set up attributes for each type of machine, including horsepower and preferred feeds and speeds.
