Schunk’s Tendo Series, which includes the Tendo E Compact, Tendo Platinum, and Tendo Tech toolholders, shares many common features, including excellent vibration damping and improved surface quality, the company says. Tendo products increase the tool’s service life, prevent chipping at the tool’s cutting edge and are completely maintenance-free. They have a consistent runout and repeat accuracy for roughing, drilling, reaming and finishing.

The Tendo E Compact is a feature-filled toolholder at an entry level price, the company says. It uses hydraulic expansion technology and has a flexible clamping range because of a variety of intermediate sleeves.

The Tendo Platinum line can be used with all clamping diameters, has multiple gage lengths and can be directly clamped, all with its integral one-piece design.

The Tendo Tech line is a special group of toolholders. These toolholders have technical features incorporated into them or are designed for a niche market or application.
