New Vista Corporation's turnkey thread verification module for use in the inspection of internal or external threads in production parts. The TVM-SC is a cost efficient way to meet both high and low volume demand at high production speeds, according to the company. The unit checks thread size, depth and quality by powering a gage probe into and back out of a thread. GO gaging, NO GO gaging and combination gaging are all possible.
The thread verification modules are designed for applications where there can be a variety of part types and thread sizes. Each thread inspection takes about 2 seconds. The TVM-SC uses New Vista's thread verification system, which ensures the gage will never become jammed in a hole or attempt to cut secondary threads. Gage probe changes are accomplished by using a quick-change chuck.
