Threading Inserts For Short Chipping Materials

Featuring a flat top rake (without chipbreaker) for threading, the company’s two new versions of the Cut-Grip Tip inserts are precision ground for a 60º (MT) thread profile. These inserts are designed for machining threads on short chipping materials such as brass and cast iron. The use of the flat top rake inserts on these materials improves surface quality and lessens chatter when compared to inserts with chipbreakers.
