The Multi-Master MM FF combines steel shanks with indexable carbide FeedMill heads for long life and repeatability in high-feed machining, according to maker, Iscar.

The system of tools allows users to do a variety of milling operations while still producing fast metal removal results. The interchangeable carbide heads are said to provide excellent performance with reduced indexing time. A variety of milling head configurations, ballnose, square shoulder, chamfering and slitting cutter, are known as unique threaded carbide heads for great performance, short indexing time and improved economy, the company says. Each cutting head has an advanced pressed shape with sharp ground cutting edges.

These heads can quickly be changed to a variety of tools without ever removing the tool from the machine. There is no set up after indexing and no spare parts needed. Roughing and finishing can be performed with the same tool. One shank is used for a variety of interchangeable milling head geometries.
