Equipped with two spindles, three turrets and two Y axes, the ABX-64TH2 Super Turning Center is capable of processing parts efficiently in one setup, according to manufacturer Miyano. Each of the upper two turrets on the left and right side has a Y-axis control. Along with a lower turret, which is capable of working on both sides, the machine has a total of 36 tools available for simultaneous front and back operations.
Maximum bar capacity is 2.52" (64 mm), and the machine can accomodate bars of various lengths. The left spindle is capable of speeds ranging from 40 to 4,000 rpm, while the right spindle is capable of speeds ranging from 50 to 5,000 rpm. A programmable, servo-style parts catcher allows users to set a custom retrieval point for finished work.
