Tornos' MultiSwiss features the production capability of a six-spindle CNC and the sliding headstock feed of a Swiss-type, single-spindle turning center. The turning center is disigned to accommodate parts less than 14 mm in diameter and features 14 linear axes, seven C axes and room for as many as 18 tools (three per position).
Standard tooling can be used on the machine. Quick-change flexibility and open access to the machining area increases productivity and ease of use. The MultiSwiss is also equipped with hydrostatic bearings for increased shock absorption, better machining surfaces and increased tool life.
