The Romicron is a fine boring system for finishing high-precision bores by adjusting the tip of the boring tool quickly and accurately. The system permits adjustments of 1 micron (0.000040") on the tool radius without removing the tool from the machine. The system can be used for production applications that demand statistical process control with CpK of 1.33 or higher. The boring range is 4 mm to 326 mm, and there are five modular versions for applications with diameters starting at 40 mm and larger. The system's graduated dial makes it easy to see each adjustment, and these adjustments are made without removing the tool from the machine.
