Variable Center-Distance Multi-Spindle Heads
OMG (imported by Tapmatic) manufactures a series of multi-spindle heads with variable center distances, called the VH Series. The substantial difference lies in the drive inside the head, which is a gear drive instead of a Cardan joint drive.
OMG (imported by Tapmatic) manufactures a series of multi-spindle heads with variable center distances, called the VH Series. The substantial difference lies in the drive inside the head, which is a gear drive instead of a Cardan joint drive. Speeds of 4,000 rpm can be achieved, drilling up to 25 mm and tapping M20. The body of the heads is made of alloy aluminum, the gears and spindles are made of steel, which has undergone heat treatment and has been ground for better precision and wear resistance. Available in 31 different models, with two, three and four spindles or just one offset spindle, they cover a range of center distances from minimum 12 mm to maximum 300 mm. Customized solutions are also available within this range of standard heads. Mainly used on drilling and tapping units, these units are also available as custom fixed center distance multi-spindle heads for use on CNC machines.
