Not only are Lang Chip Fans an economical alternative to cleaning surfaces off with expensive compressed air, they can be programmed into your machining cycle to minimize spindle downtime. Chip Fans are standard with a pre-drilled hole, which allows coolant-through spindles to shoot coolant through the center of the fan and rinse tables, fixtures and workpieces, providing two cleaning operations in one. T-Slot Clean aluminum protection plates are designed to prevent chips and coolant from collecting inside t-slots of machining centers. When certain slots aren’t being used, T-Slot Clean protectors can be simply pushed in place. These inserts improve the efficiency of table cleaning and greatly reduce set-up and clean-up time. Aside from keeping machine tables, fixtures and workpieces clean, it is critical to the precision and life of the machine tool spindle, cutting tool and tool holder that these components are cleaned regularly too. BIG Kaiser spindle and taper cleaners come in many shapes and sizes to match all tooling and spindle taper types. Cleaning strips on the spindle cleaners are designed to maintain adhesion to the spindle core, delivering absolute cleanliness. Unilock Zero-Point Clamping System

Three new chucks expand the applications for BIG Kaiser's Unilock zero-point clamping system. The rectangular footprint of the ASM 105x65 is ideal as a support platform on 5-axis machines allowing clearance for the spindle to access five sides of a workpiece. This chuck is also useful as a gripper for robots when Unilock clamping knobs are used for pick-and-place applications. The new AFM 146 also provides 5-sided access, as well as a low profile. The Unilock NSA 125 chuck is designed for use in automation applications and offers cleaning and monitoring of the clamping process.

The popular Tricut drill reamer is now available as the Micro Tricut drill reamer, and features a diameter range of Ø.20mm-2.99mm at 5xD. Mega Synchro Tapping Holder from BIG Kaiser

BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. introduces a new holder for synchronous tapping. The new Mega Synchro tapping holder compensates for synchronization error during rigid tapping by reducing the thrust load to both the tap and work piece by up to 90 percent, which improves thread quality and tap life.

The error compensation is facilitated through a unique mechanism which absorbs the pitch difference between the tap and synchronous spindle. The Mega Synchro is capable of supplying coolant through slits to the tap periphery as well as through the tap. Its design allows for the tap holder to be isolated from the axial pressure of the coolant.

Mega Synchro is available in a variety of lengths and spindle interfaces to suit any company's needs. 41 tool bodies and 45 standard tap adapters offer a wide range of tooling configurations. C-Cutter Mini from BIG Kaiser

BIG Kaiser announces the expansion of the C-Cutter Mini ultra high feed chamfer mill line. The C-Cutter Mini's compact design reduces the cutting diameter to the lowest limit, helping to achieve ultra high spindle speeds and feeds. Additions to the line include a new eccentric body style for bolt hole & tap chamfers, expanded lengths to the existing program, a new Sharp Edge (SE) insert type as well as a new hexagon insert design.

The C-Cutter Mini is now available with an offset body extension to achieve bolt hole and tap chamfers. The new design utilizes a single insert to achieve 45 degree top and bottom chamfers while the offset design avoids interference with the inside of the hole. Chamfer diameters range from .217" - .827" with tap sizes ranging from M8-M20 and bolt sizes ranging from M6 to M16. Multiple extension lengths are available to reach through holes as deep as 3.031". The newly introduced SE (Sharp Edge) insert type prevents burrs and is recommended for stainless and mild steel applications.

Increased reach is now possible with new long-type models for existing single-, 3- and 4-insert designs for front & back chamfering, and even light face milling (4-insert model only).

Another expansion to the line includes the world's smallest hexagon insert. The hexagonal design provides additional angles and more indexes for superior cutting speeds on the smallest single- and multi-insert C-Cutter Mini models.
