The GX 1000 vertical machining center from Bridgeport is positioned in the center of the company’s machining center portfolio and are based on the P3-Series platform.  The VMC features a stiff and thermally-stable spindle; a C-frame fixed column design, and fixed pre-tensioned double-nut ballscrews on all axes. The heavy-duty linear guide and truck configuration provides added stiffness, damping and surface contact area.

Boxway Machining Center
The GX 1000 B boxway machining center from Bridgeport is designed to dampen vibration at the cut, thus offering excellent surface finishes, longer tool life and the ability to take deep, heavy cuts, the company says. Its features include 40" × 24" × 22" (1000 × 600 × 550 mm) travels (XYZ); 1,181 ipm (30 m/min) rapid rates (XYZ); 17. 3 hp (spindle); spindle speeds at 8,000 rpm; two-speed gearbox option; table weight capacity of 1,540 lbs; 20-tool ATC; and Fanuc control.

High Speed And High Torque VMCs
The company introduces its High-Performance Series of vertical machining centers with Siemens Sinumerik 810D CNC control. The VMCs are available in high speed and high torque versions. They are affordable CNC machining centers that are consistent with the machining capabilities of the company's entire product line.
