High speed, high performance coordinate measuring machines from Brown & Sharpe offer form, dimension and position measurement capability. These versatile CMMs can be equipped with a variety of data gathering sensors, including industry standard touch trigger and analog scanning probes, laser scanners, white light sensors, and vision probes. TESASTAR touch trigger probes offer a cost effective alternative to traditional touch trigger probes. The X Series Leitz scanning probes (LSP) have been specifically designed to meet today's requirements for high-precision and high-throughout coordinate measuring machines.
The GLOBAL series remains our most popular CMM. A range of standard GLOBAL configurations has been enhanced to include three new attractively priced packages. They feature a proven design with fewer parts than traditional CMMs for improved reliability and reduced maintenance. The name Brown & Sharpe is synonymous with American metrology. The North Kingstown, RI plant specializes in high volume, low cost and high-speed scanning coordinate measuring machines such as the GLOBAL™ Classic, Performance, and Advantage line of CMMs and the ONE™ shop floor CMM. The facility is registered to ISO 9001 and QS 9000 standards and holds the prestigious Ford Q-1 Preferred Supplier status. Brown & Sharpe also markets DEA and Leitz brand CMMs in the North American market. These products include high precision vertical and gantry CMMs; high throughput shop floor inspection systems; and large, horizontal arm CMMs for automotive body and sheet metal inspection.

Motorized CMM Probe Head
Hexagon Metrology's TesaStar M motorized probe head for CMMs is shank-mounted and capable of indexing in 5-degree increments, +180 degrees to -180 degrees in revolution and +90 to -115 degrees in pitch. This translates to a total of 2,952 possible positions, including a "table-hugging" 90-degree horizontal position. The head also features high speed indexing with faster index changes than similar products.
Five-Directional CMM Touch Probes
The TesaStar P five-directional sensing CMM touch probes are available in four versions with different triggering forces. The probes are M8 threaded for use with a variety of probe heads, including the TesaStar M motorized probe head. The probes also use standard M2 styli also available in kits.

Measuring System For Precision Parts
The Tesavio non-contact video measuring system combines a high-definition CCD camera with Tesatouch software for precision measurement of complex parts. These measuring machines offer 20 × to 135 × standard magnification with available 40 × to 270 × and an optional 2 × auxiliary lens. A high-resolution image of the part feature is projected on a 15" VGA flat LCD touchscreen.
