An American Manufacturer of Industrial Brushes & The Flex-Hone® Tool- Leaders In Brush Technology
Brush Research Manufacturing has a long history of solving difficult finishing problems with brushing technology. Since 1958, our tradition of research, innovation and manufacturing excellence has helped solve problems in the sophisticated environments of nuclear energy, aerospace, computer technology, metalworking and other general industrial applications. BRM has long been a leader in the art and science of abrasive surface finishing culminating in the patented Flex-Hone Tool. BRM was one of the first companies to advocate the critical need for finer surface finishes to optimize machine performance. Today BRM remains at the forefront of abrasive finishing technology. Our commitment to the advancement of surface finishing remains as strong as ever and we are constantly experimenting with new materials and applications. As a full line manufacturer of power brushes, twisted in wire brushes and the Flex-Hone Tool we stand ready to assist you in finding the best solution to your finishing needs.

Brush Research Manufacturing’s 2011 catalog offers specialty Flex-Hone Tools and an expansion of its Nampower line.
The company’s abrasive disc brushes contain a combination of ceramic and silicon carbide filament designed to produce maximum burr removal rates while providing an ideal surface finish.
Not much metal finishing equipment that is used in factory production setups is also readily available and applicable to situations where precision secondary finishing is also required in the field.
Brush Research has created a line of specialty flex hones designed to blend sharp edges and remove microburrs on chamfered holes eliminating stress risers caused by the chamfering operation.
Said to feature a soft cutting action, the Flex-Hone honing tool is designed for various automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial applications in sizes ranging from 4 mm to 36".
Diamond Flex-Hones from Brush Research Manufacturing are designed for deburring, edge blending and surface finishing in hard materials such as carbide, ceramic and aerospace steel alloys. The company has engineered these tools using resin bond diamond crystals that have high friability.
A ball-style hone is a specialized abrasive tool that is characterized by small, abrasive globules that are permanently mounted to flexible filaments. It is designed to be a low-cost tool for sophisticated surfacing, deburring and edge blending.
Brush Research Manufacturing's line of diamond filament twisted-in-wire miniature brushes are especially good for solving many deburring, edge-radiusing and finishing problems where harder materials are present, according to the company. These brushes are available in a variety of sizes as small as 0. 032".
The ball-style hone is a specialized abrasive tool that is instantly recognizable by its unique appearance. For engineers in the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and machining industries, this application-engineered hone, characterized by the small, abrasive globules that are permanently mounted to flexible filaments, is a flexible, low-cost tool for sophisticated surfacing, deburring and edge blending.
