Chase Brass & Copper Company traces its origins to a business established in 1837 in Waterbury, Connecticut.
A move is afoot to get lead out of plumbing pipes and fixtures that carry potable water. It's the law in California and could be to your state.
State and national laws are being changed to restrict lead content in plumbing fittings that come in contact with drinking water. The lead-free brass alloy, C693 Eco Brass, is designed to provide a solution to these changing requirements. This material has machinability higher than 80 percent of C36000 and forgeability rated at 95 percent of C37700.
Chase Brass & Copper Company’s commitment to its customers is evident based on its long history dating back to 1837, when it was originally called Hitchcock Button Manufacturing Company. Chase Brass, with manufacturing in Montpelier, Ohio, is now a subsidiary of Olin Corp. (NYSE: OLN) and continues to focus on future customer needs.
