Acquisition of Mobile Robot ProviderAdept Technology Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire privately held MobileRobots Inc., a provider of autonomous robot and automated guided vehicle (AGV) technologies.

Double Wedge Parallel Grippers
De-Sta-Co's direct connect double-wedge parallel grippers (DPD series) are especially useful for clean room applications. The DPD-E sealed jaw boot is available with scavenge ports for applications where mechanism lubricant could cause contamination by grease exiting the gripper. For applications in hazardous or dirty environments that could cause damage to the gripper, the E-sealed jaw booth has a purge port option.

Horizontal Clamping
De-Sta-Co's DPW parallel gripper series from De-Sta-Co features Directconnect technology and offers mounting patterns in three sizes with two strokes per size. The mounting patterns in this series allow the components to be mounted directly to other modular automation products without adapter plates, saving time, weight and money, according to the company. The wide body parallel grippers also come with a range of options and accessories, including multiple air port locations, a shaft wiper option and magneto-resistive or inductive sensors.

De-Sta-Co's vertical handle hold-down action clamps represent the next generation of manual toggle clamps. The new clamps allow users to save space without compromises in holding capacity or performance, according to the company. The 2002, 2007 and 2010 series of vertical handle hold-down action clamps deliver two or three times the holding capacity of the company's legacy models in the same envelope.
