Distech Systems has introduced a clean room certified DS1100 parts feeding machine for medical and pharmaceutical applications. For clean rooms, the system is manufactured almost entirely of stainless steel and has the ability to handle thin, thermoplastic trays used by the medical manufacturing industries for small parts. Parts feeders eliminate hand loading, which reduces the health problems associated with repetitive motion.

Distech Systems' DS1200-MTL machine tool tray loader provides an accurate, reliable alternative to operator tending of turning centers, the company says. The compact system, which is compatible with most turning centers, uses robotic technology to load and unload parts. The ability to perform secondary operations like part washing, pack out and stacking allows the system to operate as a versatile work cell.
