Multi-Slide Lathe
Ergomat USA's new TBA multi-slide lathe features a GE Fanuc 18i-TB CNC with high-speed processing and a dual path structure. All six axes are driven individually by GE Fanuc servomotors and ballscrews. The machine is laid out like the classic cam screw machine. However, there are no cams to deal with, and form tools and insert tools can be used.

Multi-Slide, High-Production Lathe
Ergomat's TBC 60 multi-slide, high-production lathe can place as many as four tools into the cut simultaneously. Powered by a GE Fanuc 18iTB CNC and servodrives, the machine features a Sauter two-axis turret with eight powered tool positions. It is equipped with two vertical forming and cutoff slides as well as one compound, single-point turning slide.

Turning Center With CNC Accuracy
Ergomat's lines of TBA and TDA machines introduce CNC accuracy, speed and ease to the multiple slide design. This union results in machines capable of fast production, but with CNC setup and operation. The TBC line is a turning center with a spindle capacity up to 2 3/8" capacity.

Staking A Claim In the CNC Multi-Slide Niche
The new TBC 42 multi-slide automatic turning machine by Brazilian machine-tool builder Ergomat may be made in South America, but its target market is clearly Western Europe and North America.
