High Precision CNC Grinding Machine
The Dominator 624 CNC machine is the smallest in a three-model line-up from Jones & Shipman, yet offers the functionality of a high precision grinding cell, the company says. The machine offers creep feed, surface and profile grinding in a multi-axis configuration and the latest GE-Fanuc terminal CNC control from a 2,025 mm x 1,500 mm footprint. The compact size is designed to make the machine especially useful for busy machine shops where space is at a premium, but precision, ease-of-use and high productivity rates are still paramount.
One-Piece Cylindrical Grinding Machine
The Suprema from Jones & Shipman is a one-piece “tee bed” cylindrical grinder that can accommodate one-off, batch or high-volume production. Direct-coupled digital servomotors and rotary encoders ensure geometric accuracy, while the machine benefits from Jones & Shipman software that removes the requirement for operators to input code—instead providing an icon-based user interface. Built around a GE-Fanuc touchscreen, the easy control system reduces the need for operator training and cuts setup and change-over time.
Grinding Machines Boost Productive Precision
The company presents three new grinders that are said to be designed to boost productivity without sacrificing precision. Jones & Shipman offers two cylindrical grinding machines called the Suprema and Ultramat. The Suprema incorporates a universal wheelhead and has a grinding capacity of 300 mm × 650 mm in diameter between centers.
