In the world of metalworking...The name to know is Mayfran.

Forward thinking manufacturers know they need to optimize every aspect of their manufacturing operations in order to survive and prosper.
Mayfran International’s magnetic chip conveyor and coolant filtration system for cast iron applications called the MagSep Conveyor, is for dedicated cast iron applications, and achieves a rapid payback in both machine uptime and reduced coolant maintenance costs, according to the company. When cast iron is machined, it creates fine particles in the range of 25 microns, which can quickly become suspended in the coolant to create sludge.
As a manufacturer of aluminum extrusions offering a range of fabrication and machining processes for aluminum-based products, the company is now turning its aluminum chips and scrap into briquettes, thanks to a new chip handling system that includes the FastPac Briquetter compacting unit from Mayfran International.
Mayfran International's coolant control center for monitoring machining coolant volumes and mix ratios. It was developed to maximize machine tool productivity, output quality and tool life by optimizing the properties and performance of the machine's coolant or cutting lubricant. It provides continuous real-time inline monitoring of coolant rather than trying to regulate coolant conditions manually over longer periods as physical properties are degraded and concentration ratios depleted.
The VacuFilter coolant cleaning system is suitable for use with virtually all types of cutting fluids and lubricants and can be used in general-purpose machining operations. It is ideally efficient for applications such as grinding, honing, lapping and polishing, gun drilling and parts washing where fine particulate separation is required. The VacuFilter is a compact system that can be installed on the floor or as a pit mount, and works with single machine tools or multiple machines with the assistance of auxiliary pump backs.
Mayfran International will feature the expansion of its coolant recovery technologies by highlighting new developments in coolant management and filtration equipment. New equipment includes the VacuFilter developed for applications such as grinding, honing and parts washing operations requiring fine coolant separation. Also available will be the Coolant Control Center (CCC) for monitoring machining coolant characteristics and mix ratios.
Mayfran International's Part-Tote conveyor is designed for conveying and elevating small partssuch as screws, nuts and bolts. The Part-Tote conveyor features a low-profile, floor-level hopper that makes for ergonomic loading while the conveyor elevates the parts to overhead feed hoppers, vibratory bowls or storage bins. The conveyor is also especially useful for lifting parts from below floor pits, for moving parts from floor to floor or virtually any processing or packaging application requiring a change in elevation.
The Magna-Tote conveyor by Mayfran International is designed for handling ferrous and nonferrous chips at individual machine tools. The system incorporates a combination of design elements, including a stationary magnetic force and a conveyor with both a scraper-type function and standard bed-style conveyance to efficiently separate ferrous chip materials from coolants and to convey both ferrous and small nonferrous particles. This system features a permanent magnetic bed plate located in the base of the unit at the dirty coolant point of entry from the machine tool.
