Big Chucks
Big chucks as large as 1 m are available from Pratt Burnerd. These chucks are designed to give the user minimum setup times, maximum gripping force and weight/size capability combined with ease of use. Other sizes include 24" and 36".

Hydraulic Chuck Fits Existing Machines
The new 2plus2 chuck, which uses a single conventional hydraulic cylinder, provides savings in lead time and capital outlay as it can be retrofitted to existing machines, according to manufacturer Pratt Burnerd. Chuck clamping efficiency is improved compared with conventional systems because the load is applied evenly along the jaw axis. The actuation mechanism of the jaw gives a robust, efficient mechanism, which also permits the jaws to be "t-slotted through.

Programmable Power Chuck
The Pratt Burnerd Programmable Power Chuck (PPC) is equipped with a high ratio gearbox, which enables it to operate at high spindle speeds (up to 5,000 rpm) and low torque. It is also faster to actuate than the prototype, minimizing setup times, according to the company. The PPC provides reduced setup and change-over times.
