NEW Stainless Steel Quick Change System

As seen in PM

TENDOzero Hydraulic Expansion Toolholder Made for Micron Precision
Micron precision is always required for drilling, reaming and line boring.

Precision Toolholder
With the TENDO E compact toolholder from Schunk, milling, drilling and reaming no longer require different holder technologies.

Expanding Range of Turning MachinesStar Micronics Co.

Milling Toolholder for Heavy-Duty Cutting
The Sino-R toolholder is designed to be especially suitable for rough milling.

Grippers are a Workhandling Concept to Grasp
The cost of machine operation can be expensive, especially when machines must be manned all day long. In our current slow and unpredictable economy, many shops are looking at ways to reduce manpower and increase efficiency by automating their processes.

Short Expansion Toolholder
Schunk’s Tendo-ES is a short hydraulic expansion toolholder that allows the tool to be clamped directly in the mounting taper, thus supporting the shank via the spindle. The result is higher holding forces for transferable high torques, as well as additional space in the machining area.

Quick-Change Pallet System
The Unilock quick-change pallet system from Schunk, Inc. provides accurate and repeatable setups of workholding fixtures for production run machining and grinding operations. By employing this clamping system, workpieces can be set and moved through multiple machining operations with a minimum of resetting, cutting setup time as much as 90 percent. Unilock consists of stationary modules that are installed individually or in multiples directly on machine's worktable or tombstone.

Quick Jaw Change Lathe Chuck
Productivity, operational safety and application flexibility are enhanced by the design features of Schunk’s THW-plus, a quick jaw change lathe chuck. To meet the demands of today’s turning machines, the chuck was designed with a larger through-hole, improved grease retention and better sealing against particle and coolant intrusion. Another feature includes jaw installation safety, which is supported by an internal interlock that prevents the removal of the chuck wrench when the quick-change jaw is not properly installed.

Hydraulic Toolholders Require No Sleeves
Schunk has modified its Tendo hydraulic toolholders to be able to clamp different types of cutting tools with cylindrical shanks directly in the toolholder without using intermediate sleeves. This makes this toolholder even more universal during its application of various tasks. Torque transmission capacity has also been increased by as much as 15 percent.

Precision Six-Jaw Power Chuck
The Rota NCR is a six-jaw power chuck designed for machining thin-walled and easily deformed workpieces. With six-point contact on the workpiece, pre-machined parts can be clamped without deforming them. The power chuck comprises a central chuck piston that has jaws oscillating in pairs for concentric clamping.

Mini Toolholders
Schunk Inc. 's Mini toolholders and SVL extensions now have clamping diameters as small as 0. 3 mm (0.

Universal Top Jaws For Small Batch Sizes
Schunk's universal hard top jaws reduce setup times and costs, especially for applications with small batch sizes. With three rows of clamping blades, the jaw aggressively "bites" into the surface of the workpiece. The flexibility of universal top jaw allows the workpieces to be clamped on the OD or ID.

Hydraulic Toolholders
Tendo hydraulic toolholders can be modified for MQL (a metering technique that reduces the amount of coolant used to a minimum) applications. Coolant consumption can be reduced to 0. 01 gallon/hr, and the coolant is injected or sprayed into the working area between the tool and the workpiece.

Balancing Machine For Toolholders
The Acuro Plus is a complete system consisting of a toolholder and a tool can be balanced in one plane or, for particularly long systems, in two planes. An adapter system with automatic clamping provides the same pulling forces as an actual machine spindle. Via a menu-driven system, the basic data input is complete.

Two-Jaw Power Chuck
The two-jaw power chuck, the Rota 2B, is designed for both turning centers and stationary applications. Long base jaw guides ensure clamping forces, and the long stroke secures the workpiece during aggressive machining.   The chuck comes standard with integrated feed-through and mounting features for irregular workpieces.

Universal Chucks
The Sino-T Universal Chuck brochure describes its advantages, how it works and the specifications of each version. It also features the its tool assembly system, aceessories and the chuck's spare parts. .
