New Vertical Machining Centers Offer Heavy-Duty and High-Speed Machining
Toyoda Extends Support with New Service Network
Toyoda Machinery Introduces Its Largest HMC; Delivers High Torque and Rigidity
VMCs For Heavy-Duty And High-Speed Machining
Toyoda Machinery completed a technology upgrade to its line of vertical machining centers. The FV Series is designed for better performance and reliability and will deliver larger table size, increased stroke, higher table capacity and more torque than the original machines. The high-speed linear guide and boxway VMCs offer a range of spindle options for high precision and heavy cutting application.
Spindle Design Optimizes Cut Time
Toyoda's spindle, designed with a removable taper, enables quick changes to accommodate different types of tooling and maximizes machine uptime. This spindle was designed with the main components being easily accessible because of the spindle's modular design.
Vertical Turning Center Features Traveling, Inverted Spindle
Designed for reliability and ease of use, Toyoda's Inverted vertical turning center features a traveling inverted spindle that allows direct part pickup to aid in chip management. According to the company, the machine is flexible enough to be used as a stand-alone machine or as part of a production line. In addition to standard inverted-spindle turning with built-in automation, fixed-spindle and live turret tooling is available.
Heavy-Duty And High-Speed Machining
The high-speed linear guide and boxway VMC line includes the BM Series, which is defined by its 6,000- to 8,000-rpm geared headstock and is ideal for heavy-duty applications in ferrous materials such as cast iron and steel. The rigid iron base is paired with four Y-axis box guideways to eliminate saddle overhang while the extra-wide column expands machining capability. Many high-torque and direct-drive spindle configurations are available in CAT 40 or CAT 50 tapers.
