Spindle liners can be used to fill the gap when barstock diameter is considerably smaller than a spindle.

Urethane spindle liners present a viable option to steel to fill the gap between spindle ID and bar OD. They protect both the spindle and bar stock and increase machine performance.

The Stock Feeder Hush Tube product line provides a solution for minimizing bar whip and chatter related problems including noise, maintaining: proper part tolerances, excessive cutting, tool wear and stock marring. This product can be sized to fit virtually any new or rebuilt screw machine stock reels and is equally efficient for any size hex, square, round or irregular shaped stock. The complete assembly consists of steel outer tubing that is lined with 12" long urethane inserts.
