Chevalier Is Live Streaming New Machine Tools on YouTube

Chevalier Machinery Inc. is live streaming booth coverage for the first time via its YouTube channel Chevalier TV during this IMTS.

Chevalier Machinery Inc., manufacturer of grinding, turning and milling machining centers, is live streaming booth coverage for the first time via its YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/chevalierusa). There is a live stream today, tomorrow and Wednesday, with each running for about an hour, and in order to watch viewers will have to subscribe to the channel.

Three new machines will be introduced during the live streams: 

Monday, 3:00 p.m. The FSG-12/16ADIV fully-automatic precision surface grinder will be presented by Johnson Lan, vice president of sales, who is being interviewed by Abraham Ho, grinding service engineer.
Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. The UNi5X-400 five-axis vertical machining center will be presented by Johnson Lan and again interviewed by Abraham Ho.
Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. The FDG-700 double-sided fine grinder will be presented by Henry Avila, turning/milling service manager, with Kanon Shiu, product and service engineer, doing the interviewing.
Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. The FNL-220LSY multi-axis lathe will be presented by Daniel Yanez, regional sales manager, with Kanon Shiu interviewing.

Subscribers tuning in to the YouTube channel can ask questions live during each presentation. “We decided to do a live stream because no one else is doing it,” says Lei-Lei Fu, marketing team leader. “We wanted to do something different than an ordinary video shoot. We want to see how people are reacting to the booth and have more interaction.”

The live streams are also showcasing the iMachine Communications System that operators can use to remotely monitor any Chevalier CNC machines, including the three machining centers at the booth. This system allows connectivity to the FANUC MT-LINKi integration server, providing remote machine monitoring, alarm history, maintenance, data analysis and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) that can be used to avoid downtime and loss of productivity. “We’re demonstrating in our booth how to connect all the data and show all the data in one touchscreen” says Fu. “And FANUC has borrowed four of our machines and is showing our data in their booth, to show that it can be remote monitored from elsewhere.”
