The Precision Machined Products Association is pleased to present the sixth biennial Precision Machining Technology Show from April 19-21 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. This is the essential show for the precision machining industry. The largest concentration of precision machining talent in the industry will be gathering in an exhibit hall filled with more than 200 exhibitors and as many as 4,000 attendees.

Are you a machining professional committed to being the best in your craft? World class exhibitors will staff their booths with technical experts to get the answers you need to make the best decisions for your company. This show is all about connecting leaders within the precision machining industry. It is an opportunity to have personal face to face discussions between North American parts producers like yourself and the suppliers of the technologies to make your shop more productive and sustainable.

There are seemingly endless social media options to navigate through in both our professional and our personal lives. While we all need to maximize the usage of these ever changing social media tools, there still is no substitute for the personal interaction that allows you to touch the product and interact with the technical experts who can answer your questions. Embrace this opportunity to look your supplier and your fellow parts producers in the eye, put your hands on the equipment, and forge a bond in person that will strengthen both of your businesses.

“Lean” is and will continue to be a driving word within this industry. A core idea of the discipline is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste. We can promise you that there will be no waste with this show. Three days are dedicated to connecting the best technical experts in the business to answer your questions on tooling, machining methods, materials, software and troubleshooting. Your take-home value will be quantifiable, and it will be done within a time frame that will allow you to get back to your shop within the same week.

PMPA, along with our co-presenters, Production Machining and Modern Machine Shop, are committed to continually improving this show. Veteran attendees will see this improvement and “first timers” will wonder how things could have been done differently. A cleaning pavilion has been added to expand the resources available to parts producers in this increasingly important area. All programming sessions will be on the floor during the show. There will be a combination of floor exhibits and a PMTS stage set near the PMTS Lounge for you to hear and see the latest technologies in a unique setting.

And don’t forget to take advantage of the technical, quality and management “tracks” of programming. The preceding National Technical Conference kicks off the professional sessions on April 17. This will be the 50th year of this great conference. We are thankful for those past visionaries who set the stage for the sharing that is done within this association. If you have not experienced a National Technical Conference, we invite you to come and see what makes this a best in class technical conference.

The programming of the National Technical Conference and the Precision Machining Technology Show was selected by the men and women of PMPA member companies. These machining professionals wanted to ensure relevant content, balanced discussions and highlighted technologies were addressed, while maintaining a seamless transition from the classrooms to the trade show floor.

Bring your questions, your problems, your concerns, but don’t forget to share your successes. There is no other place in the world at that time where you can talk to so many machining professionals so conveniently. The show is for you to continue to see what is available to you so that you can be your best.
