Expanded Freight Program Will Save Members Money
PartnerShip agreement provides discounts on Yellow and FedEx shipments.

The Precision Machined Products Association has introduced a new shipping program designed to help PMPA members save money. Through an agreement with PartnerShip LLC, the company that manages this program, members will now be able to achieve significant savings on several different types of shipping.
Last year, PMPA members who used the program saved a total of $2.3 million on their shipping costs. That''s an average of almost $15,000 per member. And this year, the program is even better.

Businesses will be able to reduce shipping costs by using the services of FedEx. Members will receive discounts of up to 22 percent on air shipments with FedEx Express, up to 20 percent on FedEx Ground and up to 10 percent on FedEx Home Delivery, a residential delivery service with a money-back guarantee.
As a member, you can also take advantage of a 62 percent discount with Yellow Transportation. PartnerShip also now manages this service for PMPA. That means members can deal with one company for all of their shipping needs.
If a member currently uses Yellow through the PMPA, they will continue to receive the same discounts and waivers that you have been enjoying. However, they will have to fill out a new enrollment form to update account information and to take advantage of the new FedEx discounts. Remember, this is a free PMPA benefit and there is no cost to take advantage of this program.
PMPA made a conscious effort to expand this program and partner with a reputable shipping organization. PartnerShip works with more than 15,000 businesses and has relationships with 20 trade associations.
"We have aligned ourselves with the best carriers in the industry to deliver shipping discounts typically reserved for high-volume shippers," says Michael B. Duffin, PMPA''s executive director. "These discounts are available to all members regardless of volume. Members should take a close look at their existing contracts to evaluate the benefits of this program."
