It’s not too early to start planning for the industry’s best show!

With the holidays looming, it may seem like March is a long way off, but now is the perfect time to start planning your trip to the National Technical Conference and the PMTS show, running from March 30 through April 4, 2019, in PMPA’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

These are the key events for our industry. It’s not just aisles full of drab booths or a sponsored tech talk. This is five days of information, networking and technology geared to you, your business and our continued success as an industry.

A New Location

The show moves about 140 miles north to the new Huntington Convention Center. Located in downtown Cleveland, it has plenty of space, a terrific location and state-of-the-art services. Plus, you’ll be walking distance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and more food and entertainment options than you can count.

Why Cleveland? According to census and economic planners, approximately 49 percent of U.S. manufacturing employment is located within 500 miles of the new location. And the city has a rich history with our industry, with a present that is equally bright. From schools such as Auburn Career Tech and Tri-C’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing, to a wealth of small shops and Fortune 500 manufacturers constantly perusing the cutting edge of design, fabrication and innovation, northeast Ohio is built on precision machining.

The Tech Conference

One of the premier benefits of PMPA membership, with dozens of sessions spread out over three days, is that there is no better place to be in order to learn, grow and build your career or business. Topics will range from tactical explorations of shop issues and management discussions to training best practices and much more. Just as beneficial is the chance to meet and network with peers and suppliers, exchange war stories and forge new relationships during breaks, meals and receptions.

Not a PMPA member? You can attend six educational sessions on the morning of Tuesday, April 2, and see firsthand the kind of benefits that come with membership.

PMTS 2019

Presented every other year by the PMPA and co-presented in part by the magazine you hold in your hand, PMTS is the only show in North America dedicated to the precision machining industry. More than 280 exhibitors and 6,000 fellow attendees make this the preeminent show for manufacturing professionals from across our industry.

With topics like CNC, CAM, EDM, cutting tools, rotary transfer, workholding, software, inspection, grinding and cleaning, there’s not an aspect of the machining industry that’s not represented on the show floor.

So, start planning today, and we’ll see you in the spring!
